This ground breaking program was developed by Central Electric Power Cooperative and the University of Missouri-Columbia and consists of 15 hours of teacher training worth one Master’s credit hour. The course covers energy basics, power generation and transmission, energy efficiency, economics and energy production. It provides materials for teachers to take with them including sample curriculum. One highlight of the class is the tour of the MU power generation station. All expenses are covered by CMEC.
